Mark Sfirri received his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1978 and began teaching fine woodworking at Bucks County Community College in 1981. His skills in multi-axis turning have earned him an international reputation, and he is a frequent guest artist in a variety of workshops. Mark?s award-winning furniture, vessels, and sculpture are widely exhibited and are in the permanent collections of many prestigious museums, including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Art and Design in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Musee de Bugey-Valromey in Lochieu, France, and the James A. Michener Art Museum in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
