Paul has lived and worked from his workshop/studio at Crag Lake, in southern Yukon, since 1988. He has always been a “builder of things” and a lifelong tradesman. Paul has a passion for tools. He uses this passion to make art out of old, broken, cheap quality tools. Unfit for most tool boxes, these tools are recycled into creative metal sculptures.
Focusing on form, flow and movement within each subject, Paul enhances much of his work with an eye to detail. Subtle elements grace many of the parts used in creating the finished piece. Paul has a willingness to experiment and to seek new approaches. By learning from mistakes and pushing his creative limits, Paul ventures into new ground as a resourceful, inventive sculptor.
