Lindsey Rewuski is a multi-media artist based in Saskatoon, SK, Treaty 6 Territory. Her work is informed by light art, multi-sensory environments, and 1960s psychedelic light shows. It includes immersive A/V installations, sculpture, and performance that often combine light, photography, painting, audio, sculptural, and video components. Eschewing computers in favour of an analogue and hands-on approach, Rewuski incorporates liquids, glass, organic materials, chemicals, textiles, and found or created objects in her work. The organic movement, composition, and colours of her projections are both inspired by and contribute to the experience of interacting with sound. These are often designed in collaboration with artists and musicians who provide or perform an audio component. She also photographs her projections to create ”light paintings”, using hand-painted 35mm slides and multiple slide projectors, as well as manipulated focal points. Rewuski has projected light and installed work at festivals, art spaces, and venues across Canada since 2015, and is proud to be supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and SK Arts. She is also a freelance designer with over 15 years of experience creating brand strategies, art direction, social media campaigns, and design assets for clients in the music and arts industry, charities, not-for-profit organizations, and local businesses.
