Jolene Dusyk

Glass artist Jolene Dusyk makes all of her glass beads by hand, so no two are alike. Every necklace, earring and bracelet is a hip fashion statement that will set you apart.

A massage therapist by trade, Jolene began making jewelry as a sideline in 2001, later discovering the amazing medium of glass. Working in a variety of opulent colours, she flame-softens glass rods, transforming the molten glass into one-of-a-kind beads. The beads are then designed into inspired pieces of jewelry.

In the spring of 2012, Jolene Dusyk trained with Sara Sally LaGrand in St Louis, Missouri to learn her sculptural corsage design. When home, she began to explore the different ways to create with this new and very different approach to glass work. From corsage, brooches, hair pins, and pendants, Jolene has expanded to share this design with all.

This very Saskatchewan-proud girl has also excitedly come up with a way to show your prairie roots on your arm. The “Sask” Tag design in the shape of the province has been popular with men, women and teens.

Jolene owns JoJo Beads Studio in Montmartre, SK, where she creates her glass beads and retails her original jewelry. Just one hour east of Regina on Highway #48, the Studio is worth an afternoon drive.
