Isabella is a multimedia artist from Saskatoon currently living and studying Fine Arts in Montréal. Isabella employs techniques and materials from fibre, drawing, painting and printmaking practices to create narratives for viewers to participate in. Isabella enjoys creating work that is is process oriented, focusing on construction and creation as guides to composition. Isabella’s work seeks to explore how identities are formed by the places we come from and acknowledges that art plays an integral role in creating as well as expressing identity. Isabella uses art as discursive method to connect political and artistic expression seeing them as intrinsically linked.
