Carole Murphy works in her 1600 square foot studio in Milwaukie, Oregon, that stands next to her classroom where she helps students to find their vision and put it into form.
Murphy works with between 15 and 50 pieces at a time which includes such mediums as fiber clay, steel, cement, bone and other aspects of nature. She continually stretches the boundaries of mediums and methods, evolving as she goes. It has been said that she plays somewhere between the lines of nature and the feminine.
Her work can be found in galleries and private collections around the Northwest.
