Adare (they/them) is a trans, disabled artist classically trained at the Atelier in Berkeley. Their work has been exhibited at the Legion of Honor, featured in the Seattle Erotic Art Festival, and selected five times in a row for the Schaefer Portrait Challenge. Inclusion is central to their art and advocacy. Adare serves on the Equality HI board for LGBTQIA+ issues and works with Abled Hawai‘i Artists (AHA) to co-create collaborative shows for disabled artists. Their portraits have been featured by the EveryLife Foundation’s Rare Artist program in Washington, DC, and the UnstopABLE Raw Beauty Project in New York. They’ve also appeared in publications like Inside Their Studio: Deaf & Disabled Artists Reshaping the Arts and Queer Magic: Power Beyond Boundaries. Through fire art, Adare brings raw, emboldened passion to light, celebrating the richness of human expression in all their beautiful forms.
