From a young age I was drawn to creating and trying new things. I started making jewelry and painting over 30 years ago but consider myself a mixed media artist as I like to cross over to sculpture. Although I work professionally as an educator with an M.Ed., I also hold a Studio Art degree in Contemporary Sculpture from the University of Saskatchewan. I am married with three grown children and live in Saskatoon where the Arts are truly alive! I have participated in 5 Emma Collaborations and have shown pieces in the Saskatchewan Craft Council, Snelgrove Gallery and the Saskatchewan Wearable Art Galas. I get restless when I’m not creating something and must get to work. I’m inspired by nature, travel, cultural artifacts and found objects. I love the collaborative approach to creating as it brings like minds together and this magical symbiotic relationship is born. It’s quite an experience to belong to a tribe of people who speak the same language! I am pumped to be part of another Emma!
